GP collective action following British Medical Association ballot
GP partners in England have voted overwhelmingly in favour of collective action indicating that they are willing to take action to save general practice. This action is in response to the damage that is being done to general practice as a result of many years of underfunding.
This lack of funding is impacting our ability to offer care to our patients.

The GP partners of Hedge End Medical Centre support this collective action. We will make sure that our clinicians are working within safe limits. We will ensure that we only provide services that are properly funded and that we make referrals in patient’s best interests rather than the best interests of the NHS. We will make sure our clinicians focus their time on clinical work that benefits patients not bureaucratic processes.
Please support our work to encourage the Government and NHS England to increase funding for general practice so that we can provide the level of service all our patient’s deserve.
