We are pleased to announce that we are offering both flu and covid vaccines at the practice.

For eligibility, please see https://www.nhs.uk/vaccinations/flu-vaccine/ and https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/covid-19/covid-19-vaccination/

Adults

Adults 18-64 at risk and adults 65+ clinics are on:

Saturday 5th October

Saturday 19th October

Saturday 9th November.

Once these clinics are completed, we will also offer weekday clinics. Invites for the Saturday clinics have started going out by text message.

Children

Flu clinics for under 18s: Children age 2-3 (preschoolers) and older children (4-17) who are in an at-risk group clinics will be on weekdays including after school and during half term. We have not yet received the vaccines for this group, but will invite patients when we have. We expect the invites to be sent out during September and October. The flu vaccine will be a nasal spray.

Children who are already at school and not in an at-risk group will receive their invites for the flu vaccine through the school nurse team – we are not able to vaccinate this group.

At-risk children under 2, or those who are not able to have the nasal spray will be invited separately for an appointment with the practice nurse.

Children who are eligible for the covid vaccine will need to access this through the National Booking system, as we will not receive this vaccine.

Care Homes and Housebound

Patients who are in a care home or housebound will be vaccinated by the ESPN Hub team. These will start in October and continue through November. If the patient record shows a patient as housebound, they will be automatically contacted and offered both the flu and covid vaccine.

Declines for vaccinations

You are free to choose which vaccines you receive. If you receive an invite for this autumn and do not wish to have one or other vaccine, please let us know so we do not keep inviting you.
